+Kevin, in fact the app tries to reconnect to the oximeter whenever the connectivity drops every 15+ minutes I think..

Hello, can you please use menu – report a bug? normally we use the smallest increments we can in audio volume. Did you try to send a longer Gentle volume increase period (Settings – alarm defaults)?

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

Hello Maxance, normally we do not use the system-wide increments - we use our own media player for the alarm there we can set volume freely - so in case of 24 minutes of gentle volume increase you probably would not even recognize the increments with your ear...

But in some special cases we need to rather control the system-wide volume - for example when you use a Spotify alarm and we do not have direct control over the media player. And in this case we need to rely on the increments you phone provides..

I do not know why your setup uses the system wide volume but there is a reason for that which I would find out from a menu - report a bug..

Many thanks for your message. Please note that we use gentle vibrations. It starts with a single vibe, another in 30s, than again in 20s and so on. After few minutes the vibrations will be continuous. You can control when vibrations on the watch start using settings>smartwatch>vibration and you always have a backup alarm on your phone in case something would happen to your watch.

Can you explain in more details what you don’t like on the current pattern?

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

Hello Anthony.. the vibe patterns increase to maximum intensity - to nearly constant vibration over time..

Hello, we use standard system alarms which should also affect DND.

More over if you use DND while sleeping, we should enable DND as you start sleep tracking and disable it in the morning as you end it..

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

Guys, are you TouchWiz (Samsung)? They did havily modified standard DND mechanism. We do not have one of their devices in the office to test this. Anyway we do turn off DND in the morning when tracking stops, if Sleep as Android did enable it when sleep tracking started, if it was already on we do not touch it..

I think that this would be really hard to implement, Actions on Google do not have any way to start your phone apps from your voice commands, there is only a web service to trigger, even implementing a dedicated web service for that would also not help much as the service would need to somehow know what devices you use and where to send a Google Cloud Message for instance to trigger something.. This is something only Google knows so I believe support for this should be implemented on Google side as it was in Google Now actions (for example Sleep tracking can still be started from Google Now).. So at the moment I do not see a way how we could possibly implement this… sorry..

Here is a related technical thread:

+Robin, shortcuts won't work :(.. with shortcuts you can only substitute long commands to short.. but "Start sleep tracking" was supported in Google Now Voice Actions and is no more supported in Google Assistent which completely dropped support for on device actions for whatever reason only Google understands..

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

I did not test on Google Home, but we had previously Now integration so basically telling Google Now "Start sleep tracking with Sleep" will start sleep tracking, also we support the standard start workout fitness intent and on Android Wear you can use "Start sleep tracking"..

Hello, in general recording should be paused if lullabies are used without headphones…

Also please note that there are 2 measured: snoring and noise and lullabies should really not affect snoring..

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

Hello Gustavo, please setup a turn off when sleeping option, this will make sure to turn off the lullaby after the defined time or we sense you are sleeping, at that time we won't record your sound and analyze it for sound recognition..

+Yuri.. you can do that, if you turn off vibrate in Lucid settings your watch won't vibrate..an you can use Automate to vibrate on the phone if you need that..

You can adjust number of repeats, but I think on most Android devices there is no vibration intensity only length..

We allow to add Play Music playlist as your alarm, but this may not work on all environments as there is no API for Google Play we have to use a reverse engeneered approach, definitely only local music will work..

+Bernard, yes this is the only think I see we could do now..although not sure if Google will listen..

+Kate.. sorry if does not seem Google is adding an API any time soon so that we could implement this, although we would really love to.. we have Spotify integration, but their API also has some flaws so this feature is limited..

Hello, what does it do, plays the last playlist? You use a Play Music Automate plug-in for that? I'm wondering how they do this..

Are you reffering to Twilight? In this case:

Sorry but this not technically feasible.. nothing can cover the nav bar buttons in Android and immersive more can only be set with activities but not with a background service for other screens..

If this is about Sleep as Android:
                        - this is Pixel problem only – do hou have a Pixel phone? IMHO there is a bug in Pixels in immersive mode..otehrwise sleep tracking uses an immrsive mode and it works well on my nexus 5x for example..

AdminPetr Nálevka (Developer, Urbandroid) commented  ·

Adras, when screen is dimmed in sleep tracking (after 20s) the navigation bar get hidden as well, does that not happen on 1+?

Othrwise there is always your device screen timeout which will turn off screen and also prevent overburning..

Many thanks, we should improve here, but please note that we only connect to devices in range which have HR service, after we first successufully get HR from a device we use that device next time when we connect without a new search among near by devices.. only if we cannot connect we search again..

+Stefan.. many thanks.. we try to avoid any custom components on screen shich are so important as the alarm dialog... but we have an option - long press to dismiss in settings-alarm-control.. you can also setup an CAPTCHA which we strongly recommend...dismiss is only possible if you complete a little task.. but for obvious reasons both options are not ON by default..

+Janying.. sorry this feature is technically not feasible with Mi Band. There is no way Mi Band could know you are sleeping just now.. it will know in few hours that you have been sleeping few hours ago based on a longer history of aggregated data... So if you need this feature you better use Mi Band for that directly. If you want to see your Mi Band sleep data in Sleep as Android you can use the Google Fit integration in Mi Fit and Sleep as Android..

+Andrey we are not awake that the S Health app would be doing this detection and if I think it does that ex post, can you point me to some resource about this feature?

+Meyer.. sonar on Smart watch would kill the battery on no time.. but we already do accelerometric breath detection on Android Wear although Sonar is more reliable here as this approach realies heavily on the position on your arm..for example position on yoru chest produces best results..

Hello, unfortunately Samsung is blocking this at the moment. They don’t allow third parties to develop for the Fit 2. Only pre-selected partners can write apps, we are now investigating how we could become a partner but it is very hard to deal with them..

We asked Samsung, after some effort they suggested to fill in some partner form, we did than and till now nobody responded. I'm really sorry, but we have no time to talk to corporates who don't want to listen..
