  1. Combine Sonar and Wearables for complete monitoring (sleep + breath rate + heart rate).

Hi. I bought a Mi Band 2 and I tried to enable its heart monitor, but I cannot seem to be able to use it together with Sonar. It would be great if the app offered a way to combine different sources for the measurements (sonar for breath rate, mi band for heart rate, and choose between sonar and mi band for sleep cycles, or even use both to improve accuracy). This would make Sleep as Android the most complete and cheapest sleep tracking system ever ;)

    • Ask Google Home - Assistant "Ok Google, how was my sleep last night?"

I think it will be a great idea if we could ask "ok google, how was my sleep last night?", and google responds with the time and some other information! Is that possoble? Happy to read responses!

      • Integrate with GadgetBridge

Right now you guys are using some proprietary and paid app to integrate Mi Bands and can't even support 1S because you can't access the heart rate.

The open source project gadget bridge: https://github.com/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge supports constant rate monitoring with the 1S and many devices already and is completely free. I do not use the Mi Fit app and so cannot use the wearable tracking whatsoever.

Since the app is open source you can submit a P/R to them and have support in the next version quite easily.

Hello Luke, I doubt Gadget Bridge would allow to get direct access to the accelerometer sesor which Zdenek Horak’s Tools & Mi Band can do..this is what we need to implement our own sleep tracking algorithms and smart wake up on the mi band..

        • Create a program that calculates the circadian rhythms of a person throughout the day.

Create a program that calculates the circadian rhythms of a person throughout the day. And on the basis of this advising the best time for sleeping and eating. And the information on sleep is used in return to account for circadian rhythms.

          • Integrate with Nokia Steel HR

Nokia provides API to integrate with their wearables, including HR monitor watch Steel HR. https://developer.health.nokia.com/api/doc#api-Measure-get_measure
It would be great if Sleep as Android could use sensor data from this watch as well as control the alarm.

            • Improved deep sleep function through bineural beats

According to the recent TED speech given by Dan Gartenberg (https://www.ted.com/talks/dan_gartenberg_the_brain_benefits_of_deep_sleep_and_how_to_get_more_of_it) it should be possible to improve sleep quality and thereby reduce the need for sleep. This is done by playing specific sounds during the deep sleep phase that seems a lot like bineural beats.

Sleep as Android allready has deep sleep detection and is able to play stereo sounds like bineural beats. I thus suggest you add one and one and make an alarm function that improve sleep by continually plays delta wave bineural beats when deep sleep is detected and stops when REM sleep starts.

                • "Smart period+" - Do not wake up when user is in deep sleep for the whole smart period time

I usually have a 20mins smart period, but sometimes I am in a deep sleep phase for all these 20mins. In this case, SaA wakes me up at the end of the smart period, but obviously I feel very tired after that.

So I want to suggest a feature which might be called "Smart period+". When I am in deep sleep for the whole smart period time, SaA should NOT fire an alarm at the end of that smart period. Instead, it should wait until the deep sleep phase is over.

I think the technical implementation should not be a…

                  • Better smart light experience

I have some feedback/request to the app makers regarding the wake up light experience and its integration with philips hue lights.

                    1. Please make it so that the wake up light time, is separate from the alarm, right now your alarm time is when the light starts to brighten and the sound/vibration offset time is your "real alarm time". I mean it works, but its not an elegant solution and its frankly kinda counter intuitive. So a completely separate option field for smart light per alarm would be nice to have, So if i set my alarm at 08:00 and…

                      • Ability to customize dream cycle detection for the lucid dreaming feature.

Could you please include a feature that allows the dream detection for lucid dreaming cues to be set and start at a certain time into the sleep cycle? Certain lucid dreaming techniques suggest that "wake" cues occur 6 hours or so into the sleep when REM/dreaming periods are longer. Not that the cue itself would occur at the time set, but that the detection would start at the set time.
Another advantage of this would be a more targeted wake cuing. As it is, "You are dreaming" will occur at any time in the sleep cycle, every time REM sleep…

                          • Snooze instead of deactivating alarm on Miband 2 button

One of my main use cases is that I can have an alarm and my gf can still sleep without being woken up. For this, the vibrating alarm on the Mi Band 2 is perfekt.

Unfortunately, when I touch the (very sensitive) button on the Mi Band
2, the alarm is deactivated. By using the phone, I can snooze the alarm.
For my usecase it would be a big help if the behaviour of the button on the Mi Band was configurable. I would suggest the following options:

                            - No Action
                            - Snooze for x minutes
                            - Deactivate alarm

I've been struggling to successfully use Sleep as Android since starting to share a bed. After researching what possible solutions there are, I found one of the Sleep as Android's main competitors has a feature for two phones connecting to each other over WiFi and sharing data, allowing Sleep Tracking to work better for two people.

The Sleep as Android FAQ only suggests using separate mattresses, using it as usual for it "could work", or an external device.

Hello, many thanks we will look into feasibility of this. But please note that in general interference from your partner should be minimal in typical setup. The signal diminishes with the quadrat of distance. Usually you partner’s movement add a little to the your genera noise..but should have minimal impact on the measurement..

                                    • Are you sleep?

Please provide option for app to start asking us if we are asleep after a certain time. Like if we tend to sleep at 9pm ask us if we are sleep. If we dont respond/snooze then turn sleep tracking on. I forget to to turn the track on frequently. This will help tremendously. Thanks.

                                        • Autostart sleep tracking after media stopped.

I am listening to audiobooks sometimes before sleeping.
I am using listen audiobook player, that supports a sleep timer that can be restarted by shaking the phone short before the player would stop.

Right now I have to shake my phone and give the sleep tracking another pause time.

Would it be possible to add a feature, that monitors the media playing and will start if any media played is paused/stopped?
It could be activated on need by a icon on the sleep tracking screen.

                                          Ex:
If you want to sleep in ~15 min.
                                          - Start audiobook
                                          - Set sleeptimer …
